star_3In this week’s episode I share with you how mailing smaller numbers of postcards at a time could be a very effective strategy, I have a killer resource that automatically takes your WordPress blog post and submits it to last week’s Killer Resource over at Ezine Articles.  and I’m going to share a sweet little strategy I came up with at one of my mastermind meetings a couple weeks ago where you actually pay someone to come try out your services.

Websites and Resources Mentioned in the Show:

How many postcards is too many?  How many is too few?  Most times we are conditioned by direct mail companies to send increments of 5,000 or 10,000, but what happens if you send smaller amounts?  Yes it costs more per piece, but is the ROI worth it?  You’ll soon find out.

I love finding shortcuts and ways to cut out a step in any process.  And that’s just what this week’s killer resource does.  You write one blog post and you can automatically submit it to from within your wordpress control panel.  If that’s not killer, I don’t know what is.

You spend lots of money on marketing, now on top of that I’m asking you to pay those prospects who come in?  What??!!  I want them paying me, not the other way around!  Of course you do, but stick with me in this episode long enough to learn a strategy that I feel is perfect for fitness bootcamp owners and personal training studio owners.

As always your thoughts are appreciated. Please leave a comment below that will benefit the other viewers AND will get you noticed by Google. Enjoy the show!

    • Great advice and site. Just to let you know that I am in the United Kingdom (little island)England, and I have been involved running health clubs since 1999. Now since this time; it is hard for people to have this type of information for FREE and your advice is really cool morover it WORKS!.

How silly it sound to pay people to have a trail go..Well I have been blown away by memberships and the income has increased by 230% What a barmy idea with brilliant results.

A big wake up call. So my advice to your views..listen.think aoutside the box..and DO IT!

    • Hi Curtis,

Great stuff this week. You know what really works well, if you run the promotion at a local vendor like a hair salon and offer a free gift card to that particular vendor. The hair salon is happy that you bought gift cards and that the client will be using them to buy something, and you’ll be happy because it will give you a captivated audience.

      Keep up the great work!

    • Great stuff Curtis,

but maybe you should leave being funny to me?

check it out the 1st episode of my show will be up on friday!

I watch your show sometimes for the marketing tips, most times because you make me smile. The nipple skit was so funny I started laughing and coughing at the same time, choked, and literally couldn’t catch my breath for almost a minute.

      Thanks for almost killing me.

Oh and the marketing tips were good too 🙂

    • Curtis,

I’ve got another Killer Resource to share. I heard about recently.

I know most business owners have all day to wait on hold when calling large companies, but if you don’t there is a new service at where you simply key the number you want to call into the website and then the number you are calling from. The website will call your cell phone when there’s actually a human to speak with.

Hey I was just wondering do you do all the writing yourself or do you have guest posters. I’m loving your blog. Thanks.

    • Your “Outside the Box” tip was great! If only more entrepreneurs thought that way…

    • The question I have is not really related to your last show, but Im hoping you can help me out. I am about to start doing some fitness bootcamps but my situation is that I’m not really sure what to charge. I live in South Dakota and there are not really any fitness bootcamps running here to model against as far as pricing. The cost of living here is not as high as it is in some place’s in the USA so I don’t want to price it to high, but I also need to be able to afford to put them on. I really hope you can help me out here or possibly give me a resource to help figure it out.

Great idea for a postcard offer! We do really well with bootcamps, but we don’t really promote it unless someone comes in for a membership. We’ve been tempted to advertise the bootcamp as a standalone and the offer you suggested is perfect! Thanks a bunch!

And as for John’s question above. I’d maybe start at $99/month. That’s a popular price in competitive bootcamp markets, so it might be ideal in a lower SES area as well.

    • Curtis,

Great show this week. The 19.9 cent post cards are a huge hit. Our clients are slashing their marketing budgets by taking advantage of the lower rates. Thanks for all your help in securing the special discounts.

    • Hello Curtis, I hope you are continuring too feel better. I loved the show I did submit my Address for the 19.9 cent post cards for my area. So please, please get me in there. Also do you think I could do the pay people to come and do a Free Workout at my Women only faciity which is all circuit training. I was thinking I could have the guest all come in at the same time to do the fitness assessment and workout together as a group class. Would love your opinion on this.

      Thanks for answering my question!

      Again very cool show!

    • I hope that your nipple is fine. LOL you are such a dork. I have no clue where you get this stuff. I love watching the show at the end of my day because it is the best way to end my day. You are so funny.

I love the outside the box and I would love to give it a try in my boot camp class. We are doing our open enrollment in two weeks and that is a great way to fill the classes.

The recipe from last weeks show I tried with my daughter and she didn’t like it. She said it was gross. I didn’t know what to think. It was not bad but I would not eat it again.

    • I’m certainly glad to be catching up on all of these episodes in one day. I haven’t started posting on ezinearticles just yet and then a few minutes later I see this new Word Press direct upload that you found – sweet!

Oh yeah, funny stuff as usual. You always keep the show fun, lively and kooky all the time.

You mentioned the “pay people to attend” during your presentation at BCBC. Awesome idea, and a killer way to get people in the door fast!
